For 64-bit system: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SYSTEMN-Stream Control Print_setN-Windows Environments x64N-Version-3

6.Erase all version 3 keys by right-clicking them and selecting Clear.

7.Press Windows Key + R and type the following and hit Enter:

C: N- Windows System32N pool drivers W32X86

8.Rename folder 3 to 3.old.

9.Restart the print spooler service and try installing your printers.


If you still cannot install the printer, be sure to uninstall it completely and then reinstall it with the new drivers. Make sure to use the CD wizard that came with your printer instead of the Windows Add Printer option.
